The National Development Bank plans to purchase a Banking Information System (Core Banking System) and implement it in the NRB environment. In view of the above and in order to prepare the tender conditions in the most appropriate way for a wide range of potential suppliers of IT systems and related services, the NRB decided to conduct a preliminary market consultation.
The National Development Bank (NRB, CZ) helped to finance 7,589 business projects last year with total amount of support reaching CZK 43.5 billion (€ 1.75bn). It accounted for 40% of all loans below CZK 30 million (€ 1.2 m) granted by banks to non-financial enterprises. Thus, the NRB significantly contributed to making credit resources available to SMEs. The Bank also provided CZK 1.1 billion (€ 44m) for public infrastructure financing in 2021.
The National Development Bank (NRB) and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) signed a framework loan agreement worth EUR 50 million. Thus, it has secured additional resources to finance infrastructure projects aimed at improving the environment and living conditions in urban as well as in rural areas. The funds are dedicated for the public sector as well as for enterprises or mixed entities.
ČMZRB Investments, a subsidiary of the Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank (ČMZRB), provided support to an SME in the form of capital input for the first time in the history of the entire Group. Using its “Venture Capital – IPO fund” program, it bought 12.7% of newly issued shares of the Primoco UAV company, which were subscribed on the START market of the Prague Stock Exchange.
The Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank (ČMZRB) and the Railway Infrastructure Manager (Správa železnic, hereinafter “RIM”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to identify and prepare railway infrastructure projects. Railway connection between the Václav Havel Airport and the city centre was chosen as a pilot project to be realized under this memorandum.
The Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank (ČMZRB) in the cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade has prepared a new SMART guarantee programme aiming to facilitate access of SMEs to commercial loans for digitalisation. This new programme allows companies to get a guarantee for their digitally-oriented projects on more favourable terms than before. Receipt of applications started in April 2021.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank (ČMZRB) launched the call in the COVID TRAVEL GUARANTEE program, which was created in the cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Development. This new program aims to mitigate the negative effects of the pandemics on tourism and travel services. The support is provided in the form of bank guarantees issued by the ČMZRB, which can be used by travel agencies to obtain compulsory insolvency protection insurance and to cover their mandatory co-participation on this insurance, while saving own resources for developing their business in the post-covid era.
The Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank (ČMZRB) will start technical assistance to enterprises, regions, cities and other public sector institutions, which will help them to prepare and launch their projects focusing on energy efficiency. Project ELENA, which is financed from the HORIZON 2020 programme managed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), will start in spring this year. Technical assistance aims to lower the administrative burden and to minimise the costs related to the preparatory phase of energy efficiency projects.
The Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank (ČMZRB) signed two memoranda on cooperation as part of an effort to increase its involvement in public infrastructure financing. In December 2020, the bank signed a memorandum with the City of Pardubice, which is the capital of the Pardubice Region and one of the main regional centres in Eastern Bohemia. In January 2021, the bank signed a memorandum with the Moravian-Silesian Region, which is located in the north-eastern part of the Czech Republic.
ČMZRB Group, in the cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, has published a call under the program Venture Capital – IPO Fund. It will allow ČMZRB to support SMEs in the form of capital inputs for the first time in its history. ČMZRB Group will buy shares of companies issued on the START market of the Prague Stock Exchange, but only as a minority shareholder with 30% of shares at maximum. The programme is funded by the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness (OP EIC), aiming to mobilize private resources and support investment into the capital of SMEs.
